The Way of Modern Scientific Research

As we experience rapid development across all scientific disciplines, it is a very exciting time for us scientists. With the advent of novel technologies and deeper scientific understanding, we reshape our experimental approaches enabling us to deeper investigate and unravel the complexity of our universe.

However, the tremendous opportunities are balanced by unprecedented challenges which we scientists face daily on multiple front lines: pressing deadlines, limited budgets and unexpected roadblocks, all while ensuring reproducibility, high quality of experimental data and keeping pace with the fast technological advancement. As scientific research is increasingly complex and competitive and demands interdisciplinary expertise as well as access to advanced technologies and modern infrastructure, collaboration has become more important than ever.

We believe that scientific research and advancement should be driven by the quality of innovative ideas.

We are on the mission to transform your innovative ideas into impactful discoveries. Through our in-house expertise in the area of small molecules, partnerships and network of complementary experts, we aim to break the barriers that prevent excellent research from reaching its potential.

How We Operate

First we arrange a free and confidential conversation to learn about your project, goals and challenges and to find out if we are the right fit for each other. Then we will propose how we can contribute, provide high level roadmap, transparent pricing and you will decide if you want to move forward. No obligation, no pressure.

Once we agree on our collaboration, we will develop a detailed plan for your specific situation. Respecting your budget, timelines and requirements, we strive to achieve the most efficient solution.
Depending on your needs, we will perform feasibility analysis, literature review, technical analysis and deliver know-how. If necessary, we will bring the right partners to complement our in house expertise and liaise with CROs or external experts.

If your project requires more than consulting, we will coordinate experimental and laboratory work and activities across all partners. We will continuously monitor progress and proactively resolve problems. We will keep you informed so you will have control over each important step and decision, including unexpected challenges in order to pivot on time if necessary.

At the end we deliver all target compounds, procedures, protocols, biological data or any other valuable results in a suitable format. We will pay attention to data interpretation and knowledge transfer so you leave with understanding, and clear answers, not just data.

Why Clients Trust Us

Lean & flexible: We adapt to your project needs and quickly pivot when needed. Without corporate overhead we can find cost-effective solutions and get the most out of your budget.

Independent: As we don’t have any obligations to any company or institution we are able to select the right partners for each individual project and coordinate the execution and decision making for the benefit of our clients.

Tailored for your needs: We design customized plans that fit your timeline, budget, and scientific objectives and then execute with proactive problem-solving throughout.

People and science first: We are driven by passion for cutting-edge science and your success and high-quality science are our main priority. Our goal is to establish lasting relationships based on mutual trust and respect, leading to productive collaboration and exciting discoveries.

Protection of IP and confidential data: We take the protection of your intellectual property seriously. We communicate via end-to-end encrypted channel and only the necessary fragmented details about your project will be shared with our partners.

Q&A: Maybe you wanted to ask…

Ambrosigen provides independent medicinal chemistry consulting across small-molecule drug discovery and synthetic chemistry. I bring senior small-molecule expertise to biotech, university spin-outs, and pharma teams, covering compound design and synthesis, hit-to-lead and lead optimization, targeted protein degradation, kinase inhibitors, chemical probes, and CRO coordination. I also provide scientific due diligence for venture capital firms and investors, and support for AI drug discovery teams.

I will propose individual pricing for each project as the needs and complexity of each project can be very different.

I always strive to find a fair price and suitable pricing model.

Yes, this is my core expertise. I design and optimize PROTACs and molecular glues, and I develop and validate E3 ligase ligands. Beyond the chemistry, I help with the strategy behind it, choosing which E3 ligase to recruit, judging whether degradation is the right modality for your target in the first place, and planning how to move from a first active degrader to a developable compound. This has been the focus of many of my research projects at the SGC in Frankfurt, some of them were published.

Yes. I work with clients internationally and run projects remotely, which is the norm for this kind of consulting. Chemistry design, program strategy, and CRO coordination all work well over calls and shared data, and I coordinate labwork through the right CRO wherever it sits.

However, I can make also on site visit and meet in person if needed.

Mostly small and early-stage biotech companies, university spin-outs, and startups that need experienced medicinal chemistry without hiring a full-time team, along with larger pharma groups and investors who need a specialist on a specific problem.

Yes, our first meeting (30-60 minutes) is free of charge. During this meeting we will align our mutual expectations and find out if we are a good fit for future productive collaboration.

With a large CRO you mostly get capacity and an account manager, and the senior science is spread thin across many programs. With me you get the senior scientist who takes ownership of the agreed deliverables and stays actively engaged, so you always know exactly who is working on your project and where it stands. Since I am independent, I can find the best CRO or external experts for your project, not the ones who sell their services best. Importantly, I can flag potential issues early and suggest a strategic pivot when it serves your program. That way you don’t need to worry that a CRO is hiding problems because they don’t want to lose the work. Last but not least, sensitive data can stay with me alone, which reduces the risk of leaking confidential information. This can be the difference between a program that moves and one that stalls.
